Campground & Retreat Space

The physical layout of the sanctuary is intentionally designed to support trauma-informed recovery, community integration, and accessible outdoor therapy through the following infrastructure assets:

  • Expansive Acreage: A 27-acre, two-loop campground accessible via a well-maintained, graded road system.

  • Flexible Accommodations: Features 8 non-permanent safari glamping tents for structured programming, alongside 6 dedicated "Bring Your Own" (BYO) tent spaces for independent participants.

  • Modern Sanitation Facilities: Equipped with a dedicated restroom trailer featuring flush toilets and hot showers to ensure guest comfort and dignity.

  • Communal & Retreat Areas: Includes a centralized barbecue area, a large shade tent, and group firepits (utilized weather permitting) to encourage peer-to-peer connection and group processing.

  • Dedicated Programming Space: Outfitted with a functional, covered outdoor workspace designed to host workshops, educational sessions, and therapeutic activities.

Guest House

The property includes a 2 bedroom, 1.5-bath residential structure optimized for guest accommodation.

  • Equipped with a fully compliant ADA-accessible restroom and roll-in shower facility.

  • Climate-controlled with comprehensive air conditioning for year-round comfort.

  • Engineered for maximum sustainability, operating 100% off-grid via a dedicated solar power system.

Expanding Accessibility & Sanctuary Space

The Anderson-Arroyo Foundation plans to expand and upgrade the facilities further. Our 2026/2027 goals:

  • Complete vital ADA accessibility upgrades throughout the campground.Raise funds to

  • Secure capital to construct two generously donated 30-foot yurts.

  • Transform these new structures into dedicated, weather-proof community meeting spaces.

  • Ensure all retreat participants have a safe, comfortable environment during inclement weather.
